Privacy policy

    Last updated 23 September 2026.

This policy covers marketingo.com, including the paid-search landing pages under /lp/, and the discovery call booking on this site. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

    Who we are

MarketinGO is a paid media agency running Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn and Meta Ads for B2B and DTC eCommerce companies. We are the controller of the personal data described here. For anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete your data, write to hello@marketingo.com.

    What we collect

When you book a call. The booking form is provided by TidyCal and collects your name, email address, time zone and anything you type into the booking questions. We use it to hold the call, to prepare for it, and to follow up afterwards.

When you email us. Your address, your message and anything you attach, kept with the rest of that conversation.

When you visit the site. Usage data through Google Tag Manager, which loads our measurement and advertising tags: currently Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Advertising and Meta. That means pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser, how you arrived, and whether you completed a booking. Individual tags in these categories may change; the purposes below do not.

Advertising click identifiers. If you arrive from an ad, the link carries parameters such as msclkid, gclid and utm tags. They tell us which campaign, ad and keyword produced the visit, and they are how a booking is matched back to the ad that paid for it.

We do not collect payment details on this site, and we do not sell personal data.

Why we use it, and on what basis

To respond to you and run the call you asked for: because it is necessary to take steps you have requested before entering a contract.

To measure the site and our advertising, and to keep the business running: our legitimate interest in understanding what works, balanced against how little of it identifies you personally.

To advertise to people who have visited the site: consent, where the rules that apply to you require it, given through the cookie controls in your browser or the ad platform settings linked below.

    Who it is shared with

The tools that run the site and our campaigns, acting for us: TidyCal for booking, Google for analytics and advertising, Microsoft Advertising, and Meta. These providers process data in the United States and elsewhere; transfers out of the UK and the European Economic Area rely on the standard contractual clauses and the data protection frameworks those providers operate under.

We also share data where the law requires it. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and we do not pass it to other agencies.

Their policies: Google, Microsoft, Meta, TidyCal.

Cookies and how to switch the tracking off

The site sets cookies for analytics and advertising through the tags above. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time, and the site still works without them: the only thing that breaks is our ability to tell which campaign a visit came from.

Platform level controls: the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, Google My Ad Center, and Microsoft advertising settings.

    How long we keep it

Booking records and email conversations for as long as we are in contact and afterwards for as long as our accounting and tax obligations require. Analytics data for the retention period configured in Google Analytics, after which it is deleted by Google automatically. Advertising audiences expire on the schedule set in each platform, normally within 180 days of your last visit.

    Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to us using it, ask us to restrict how we use it, or ask for it in a portable format. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area you can also complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California, you can ask what we collected in the past 12 months, ask us to delete it, and ask us not to share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Email hello@marketingo.com and we will answer within 30 days. We will not make you jump through hoops, and asking costs you nothing.

    Children

This is a business to business site. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

    Changes to this policy

When what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no archive of previous versions; if you need to know what it said on a given date, ask us.
